Three sentences in english
A simple sentence
Have one subject and a verb and is called indepedent clause.
A compound sentence
Is made up of two simple sentences or two independent clauses,joined together with conjuction and a comma .
A complex sentence
It has one independent clause and one or more dependent clauses,joined together by subordinating conjuction.
Say whether the following sentences are simple or compound sentences:
1.Sam washed his face but not his hair.
2.Allex ate an apple,but Jeff eat pizza.
Thanks for reminder, the type of sentences is something seem to be easy but most of the cases we fail to identify them.
